I am interested in the expressive strokes, and the impression of this art work. As if a moment of frustration erupted, creating a form of unpredicted yet structured forms. The negative space in-between, the black and white swirling together in conversation with one another. I think this work gives the sense of resentment or a memory from the past that has traumatised the individual, hence why the image has been smudged or rubbed out. Leaving only certain elements of the art work intact, like figures of people sexually active etc. As if the artist is trying to erase a memory from the past.The
