Building images (Francis Hansen) Stencil workshop

Hayley king, Graffiti wall

Hayley king creates drawings and prints using ink and pen, making stencils, spray painting murals and designing tattoos. The images she uses are of native New Zealand birds for example, tui and fantails. Incorporating blossoming flowers, vibrant yet subtle compositions of her subjects. She consults books that have effect traditional techniques, with old botanical engravings etc. To expand her ideas, translating these onto her art works with an electrical twist.

This is one of my experiments from my stencil workshop yesterday after-noon. I found the workshop a great experience, learning new techniques and investigating another field of art increased my knowledge. Still need a lot of practice though.
